Hi! My name is Marlies and I am a trained secondary school teacher and German native speaker from Vienna, Austria. I am staying in Ottawa right now and would love to put my teaching and tutoring experience to good use!
I have a teaching degree (BEd and MEd) from the University of Vienna.
Throughout my high school and university years I have been tutoring English and German on the side. My students were mostly kids and young adults but I'm happy to broaden my horizon in that regard. Whether online or in person, I try to find the best learning opportunities for my students :)
I work best following a communicative teaching approach, meaning, communication is the focus of my lessons. However, I will adapt my teaching methods to every individual student's needs.
I am available all weekdays.
I am very much open to meet up online or in person, wherever my students feel the most comfortable.
