I am a native Spanish speaker and I love to share my language. I am also fluent in English, and usually bring into the class a lot of dynamic and fun knowledge about etymology, the basics of phonetics in Spanish, Hispanic literature, music, cinema, and history. My classes are not just about learning the words, but about the whole roots of the language. I want my students to understand where Spanish comes from, why it sounds the way it does, what do all these rules really mean, and find a fun way to understand it all. My two priorities are to suit your needs -for everybody learns in a different way and speed-, and to guide you through a path in which you will find the beauty of Spanish, learn in a way it becomes a useful tool (for life, travel, and job opportunities), and fall in love with it a little bit more every time you understand something new.
I attended the Universidad Central de Venezuela and graduated in Letters, studying Hispanic and Latin American literature, and Spanish linguistics for over 5 years.
I have more than a year of experience teaching Spanish online for students all around the globe and 3 years of teaching Spanish grammar.
I teach using The Direct Method or Natural Method, encouraging the students to be as involved in the class as they possibly can, through fun activities that allows them to speak, listen, read, and write without being judged when they make mistakes. In every class I teach something new about the Hispanic and Latin American culture, this provides the class with diverse vocabulary, knowledge, and many conversational topics. This helps to get more involved with the language and encourages them to think like native Spanish speakers.
I am flexible and can easily adapt to the students' schedules.
