I'm native Arabic speaker , finished high school in Algeria . I'm currently studying abroad , 2nd year general medicine
my mother is a retired Arabic language teacher in primary school , i had fun helping around when i had time , so i have a bit of experience helping with the kids . i also have a bit of experience working with elders (from 60 years old and above who never learnt how to read and write ) .
i usually take into an account the type of person I'm working with to decide which teaching method i should use . if working with kids , i prefer to follow a direct approach , i would teach them the alphabet slowly , using lot of flashcard , work sheets and videos until they are able to read and write all the alphabets , only then we could work with grammar . with adults i prefer the indirect approach ; i give the learner the active role .
