Hello! I am an alumni of the University of Waterloo for Philosophy and French. Currently teaching French classes to all levels and diverse ages. I also tutor English, but focus on French because I am in the process of becoming an elementary French teacher. I love my work and I enjoy working. I have also graduated from a Master of Education with high marks. Also, I come from a family of teachers with my mother being a high school math teacher and my father is a professional violinist and musician teaching violin, guitar, and piano.
I have been studying French since gr. 4. I participated in three French-immersion summer programs (Explore) while in university. I also participated in a six-month volunteering program (Katimavik) whereby I lived in Quebec for three months, learned French throughout the program, and shared a house with some Francophones during the program. Master of Education with high marks.
Tutoring regularly since 2006, mostly French. Worked in Winnipeg, MB at a French author's house-turned-museum as a tour guide in both languages. Worked at the bookstore at York University's Glendon campus, which is bilingual. Currently teaching French classes weekly at a private school on Saturdays and tutoring mostly French regularly. I have been promoted at every job at least once.
Have my own resources...we can use the library's resources, online resources or yours. I let you guide a fair part of the session to ensure that I'm meeting your needs. I have a variety of activities for you to choose from to learn French.
I have a flexible schedule.
The best option for me is to teach online. If meeting in person, I prefer to meet at or within 10km of Downsview Library (Keele & Wilson).
