Paul is a passionate undergraduate with a knack for language and a caring personality. Having extensive training and experience behind him, his personalized, down-to-earth approach is loved and appreciated by many.
I started my journey into French years ago with a dusty old copy of Rosetta Stone and an internet connection that was shaky at best. From then on I grew a great love and passion for the French language, going so far as to study its structure and works of art at five institutions across Canada. While studying grammar at Collège Boréal, I lived and breathed the language nestled in a northern Franco-Ontarian village.
I have been working for over a year helping students to deepen their understanding of French and succeed in their language learning goals.
I approach teaching French by focusing on the flow and movement of sentences and concepts rather than focusing on pure grammar and rout memorization. Using a diverse range of resources, I work to convey the meanings and patterns of the French language more naturally and intuitively than what is offered at traditional language schools. As students progress in the language, partial and full immersion is often used to further the learning experience.
Do you have an odd schedule that needs accommodation? No problem! I am free most times during the week, offering weekend tutoring and last minute rescheduling options up to three hours before sessions.
I am able to travel anywhere in Langley to tutor preferring neutral locations such as coffee shops and libraries. I also offer in-house tutoring on a case to case basis.
Paul was an incredible french tutor and really took the time to cater his style of teaching to fit my needs and goals. He gave me useful tips and exercises that I could practice at home and really encouraged me to speak the language as much as possible. I felt motivated and excited to be fluent due to his enthusiasm and love of the French language! I highly recommend him to anyone desiring to be more fluent in and discover more about the French language and culture!
