Hi, I'm Tom! I'm a classicist and linguist who earned my PhD at UC Berkeley in 2015. I've taught Latin and Greek at Berkeley and Stanford, and have directed Berkeley's intensive summer workshops in both languages. I'm also a native Hebrew speaker and enjoy teaching Hebrew, too.

Languages have been my passion since early childhood, and I love sharing that passion with students. I've taught language classes at UC Berkeley and Stanford at all levels from beginner to advanced graduate seminars.
I have many years' experience learning and teaching languages and tailor my teaching approach to each student's specific needs -- whether it's reviewing forms and vocab, conversation practice, introducing new concepts, teaching study strategies, or reading texts together.
Saturdays and some weekday evenings
Can meet online via Zoom, or at my home in Vancouver (Kitsilano).
