Volunteer as an ESL tutor The Pontes de Graca project at United Church of Canada assists the Portuguese native speakers' community in Toronto and GTA, teaching English in a fast-paced program on Tuesday evenings to those who are not able to afford ESL/ELL classes. English tutors assist teachers during class activities and are responsible for checking take-home assignments. It is also part of the assistant teachers' duties welcoming students, checking attendance and setting up classroom structure.
