Italian native from the Veneto region. I lived 10 years in Bologna and recently moved to Vancouver as part of the International Experience Canada programme.

I worked in the hospitality industry as a Guest Relations specialist for 10 years. I hold a BA in Translation and Interpreting and have a strong drive towards sharing knowledge. Also proficient in Spanish and can understand French.
My English teacher at the excellent SSLMIT told me this, when I exposed my fears of being unprepared in English grammar: "Why, you think you will actually need to know grammar out there?" This is the approach that worked for me, and the one that I like to pass on. Focus entirely on constant fast-paced communication with minimal error correction, exposing the student to the correct language structures while inviting them to use critical thinking to find out the differences and progress.
I am flexible and can adapt easily to the student's needs.
