I grew up in Houston, Texas, U.S.A., but I have lived in Istanbul, Turkey for the last ten years and am married to a Turkish woman. We have a five year old daughter with whom I enjoy spending time even though she can be stubborn like her dad. I have no background in Turkish or Turkey, and I had to learn the language and country from the beginning. I know the difficulties of learning a new language. I came to Turkey simply because I love traveling and experiencing new things.

I have had success with a student oriented approach. I think the method of having the student mostly speak while correcting errors after they finish is a good approach. I like to correct errors at a minimum because too much error correction can lead to unnatural conversation and student loss of confidence.
I would like to be available from the hours of 12 pm to 6 pm Istanbul time (GMT +3).
