Teaching Approach
I am a native speaker from Mexico. I first test how much Spanish do you know and from there build on it. I read on your post that you are both beginners. I also ask what is the reason you both want to learn planning to travel, relocation, business or for fun? In that case we can focus in the goal that you both have set for yourselves.I tutor all components of it grammar, reading , writing and speaking. I usually introduce a lesson, work with the student was we just learn and speak. I follow he structure a college student would follow in a semester. I make my own worksheets to accommodate the needs of the students. I do provide material needed for the lessons. Day 1 one you will start to be able to read the beauty about Spanish it is that what you see it is what you read there are no hidden sounds. I am a language student myself and I found that listening to music , watching movies and trying to apply what I learned in class outside really did help.
