I am an English native speaker with a Masters degree. I have been business all of my working life and now teach English as a second language. I also have experience in copy editing and proof reading. I also can communicate in French at an intermediate level.
I have the following degrees: Bachelor of Science; Bachelor of Commerce ( hons); and an MBA ( Master of Business Administration ). I also have a 156 Hour TEFL certificate and a Copy Editing and Proof Reading Certificate.
I have bee in business most of my life, working in South Africa, Botswana, England, Canada, and the UAE. I was the Chairman and CEO of a public listed company. I retired from business and have been teaching English as a second language this past year. I have taught to individuals and small groups, mainly university students in Iraq and Saudi Arabia.
Participative methodology, which maximises student talk time and minimising teacher talk time. I also introduce role playing, for example ; a job interview where I play the interviewer. I am a strong believer that one acquires a language and not too much on learning a language. ( much like a baby learns its mother tongue.)
I have a very flexible availability on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 9am to 21am.
