I am a licensed professional teacher.
I have one year of experience teaching Korean students. In a short span of time compared to other experienced teachers, it helped me to become a more efficient and effective teacher.
I teach using both direct method and audio-lingual method where the student has an active involvement in the process of learning the language in both speaking and listening the new language based on realistic everyday situations. The process is smoothly transited to grammatical structure and vocabulary. I like direct method because it encourages the student to think in the new language rather than translate. Direct method is best combined with audio-lingual method where learning takes place through repetition of words, dialogues, and phrases that are useful in daily lives. It becomes a drill or practice of the student as reinforcement in reading and writing.
