Hello I am an online music theory teacher specializing in the Royal Conservatory of Music theory curriculum. I have over twenty years experience teaching all levels of RCM Theory requirements. In those twenty plus years I have instructed many hundreds of students (children to adult) and helped them to achieve their goals toward RCM certification.
I hold a Specialist Certification in Teaching theory at all levels, rudiments/intermediate and advanced issued by the Royal Conservatory of Music. I also have specialist certification for Orchestration forTV and Film from The Berklee College of Music (Boston).
I have over twenty years experience in my field and have worked for many music schools in my area as well as private piano teachers and private theory students. Since I started teaching exlusively online I have found teaching theory online works very well and and is very convenient for students and parents.
Over the years I have cultivated my own approach to teaching music theory which is a combination of my own experience in music composition and the use of the RCM textbooks, I assign homework at the end of every lesson and suppky the student with a video of the lesson for them to look back on if they have difficulty remembering what was taught during the lesson.
I am flexible and can work around the schedule of students and parents to fit their particular needs and those of my existing students.
