I am an Armenian language teacher with more than 10 years of experience, teaching complete beginners, English-speaking learners, heritage speakers, and students of different ages. My lessons are communication-focused and tailored to each learner’s goals, pace, and background. In addition to teaching, I am a journalist and content creator, with a strong background in writing, media, and storytelling. This experience allows me to integrate language, culture, and real-life context into my lessons, making learning Armenian engaging, practical, and meaningful.
I hold a Master’s degree in Armenian Studies and a degree in Armenian Philology, with a strong academic background in Armenian language, literature, and culture.
I have over 10 years of experience teaching Armenian to beginners, heritage speakers, and adult learners, including Canadian government representatives, delivering structured, communicative, and goal-oriented instruction. Alongside teaching, I bring extensive experience as a journalist and content creator, with a background in media, writing, radio, and podcasting, which enriches my teaching with cultural depth and real-life language use.
My teaching approach is learner-centered and communication-driven, focusing on real-life language use from the very first lesson. I combine structured progression with cultural context, clear pronunciation, and active speaking practice, adapting each lesson to the learner’s goals, background, and pace. My aim is to build confidence, accuracy, and meaningful connection to the Armenian language and culture.
I am flexible and I can easily adapt.
I prefer to work via Zoom.
