from the moment Anna walked into the door, we knew that we had made the right choice. She made a strong connection with our daughters and really help them to understand and appreciate the value of the Greek language. Her style and demeanour is always positive, professional, yet she has a unique way of connecting with her students, which at the end of the day produces results.
When I first met Anna I was having significant difficulty in my biblical greek class. With just a short time to my final exam, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to pass the course. I tried getting extra help from professors at school, but did not find it very helpful. Desperate for help, I did an online search and came across Anna. She was very welcoming and patient with me as I explained all my areas of difficulty. She was very professional, educated and had a great ability to teach. Furthermore, she genuinely cared about my progress and success in the class as she emailed me to find out how my exam went long after the tutoring sessions were over. Long story short, I not only passed the course, but also did well considering the limited amount of time I had before the exam. I had such a great experience with Anna and I would recommend her to anyone.
When our family embarked on the process to learn our mother language we contacted various Greek organizations and no one could recommend an instructor. We found this site and reviewed a few profiles and made a few connections, one of them being Anna. After our first conversation I knew she would be the best match for myself (adult learner) and our children. She was knowledgable, thoughtful in considering an appropriate approach and spent the time getting to know us and our needs. On our first session she baked cookies and the kids were hooked! The kids look forward to their sessions with Anna, she is warm, open, and encouraging. She developed helpful tools and written material with pictures to help them along. I love my time with her! I wanted to build on my existing knowledge of the language for so long and had never found the right person to work with. My search has ended!
From my first lesson with Anna I felt so comfortable, and my nervousness as an adult learner disappeared. I appreciated her openness to lesson flexibility, and willingness to cater her lesson plan to suit my specific needs. I’m looking forward to my next lesson!!
Anna is a wonderful teacher. She's really structured and tailors each lesson to the student. She's understanding as well when you're having issues getting time to study.
