¡Hola amigos! I am a native Spanish speaker from Colombia, I love teaching and I am currently pursuing a master's degree in Applied Linguistics at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Canada. I have five years of experience in teaching all levels of Spanish.
Professional training as teacher of foreign languages: Spanish, English and French.
I have been teaching Spanish as a foreign language for five years.
To teach vocabulary, I use flashcards with large print and place it in front of the screen. Then I get the student to repeat it, give it a meaning and relate it to a specific context. Because the classes are virtual, I use to exaggerate my facial expressions and vocalize appropriately. Also, I have considered including mimicry and role-playing in order to practice conversation and pronunciation.
Every day except Wednesday and Thursday since I attend to the University.
If the student is in Saskatoon I may agree a personal meeting depending on Covid situation and restrictions in the city.
