Teaching Approach
I use various teaching approaches to ensure that my student gets the optimum result based on his or her needs. I have various textbooks for teaching Koreans at all levels from beginner to advanced. Besides the textbooks, sound tapes, book readings, word cards, and writing exercise sheets can be used to help you improve in listening, speaking, vocabularies, and writing, respectively. Other fun activities in sessions may include exposure to Korean drama, K-Pop, and Korean foods that will familiarize you to Korean culture and language simultaneously. Based on your preference, we can either take general approach, or highly academic oriented approach, or a bit of both. General approach will focus more on learning practical Korean that will significantly improve your Korean conversation skills in everyday life or business settings. Academic oriented approach will focus more on grammar, reading, and writing exercises that will help you prepare for exams, tests, or certificates. I look to provide a great flexibility in my teaching style, so we can choose our learning approach together by thorough discussion.
Availability
My schedule is quite flexible, so we can choose our meeting time after discussion.
Teaching Place(s)
For people living near downtown Vancouver, I prefer to teach at Vancouver Public Library. For people living near Vancouver West, I prefer to teach at UBC library or Kerrisdale library. However, other teaching places may be chosen upon discussion.
