Over the years, I've had the pleasure of teaching many different students with diverse and interesting goals across all age groups:

German Instruction:

• Conducted weekly private German lessons in both online and in-person formats for learners of all ages, tailored to diverse learning goals
• Developed customized lesson materials based on clients' needs, interests, language abilities, and skill levels
• Incorporated authentic, interactive, and engaging teaching materials
• Prepared learners for the Goethe Exam at all proficiency levels, as well as other standardized exams
• Supported university students with their German studies and assisted children with their studies at German schools in Vancouver

English Instruction:

• Delivered weekly online group and individual English classes for grades 3–12, including ESL and highly gifted students from public, private, and international schools in Canada and China
• Prepared classes using high-quality academic materials enhanced with original creative exercises, applying the Socratic method to encourage critical thinking and problem-solving
• Created engaging homework assignments and provided detailed, constructive feedback tailored to each student's strengths, skills, and learning needs
• Supported students and parents with applications to top private schools and Ivy League colleges, including essay writing consulting, contributing to successful admissions
• Taught creative and non-fiction writing in both individual and group settings, helping students develop projects from short stories to full novels

I believe that every student is unique in their own special way and in need of personalized, individual support. This is the reason why I will always go to great lengths to adapt to each and every individual student's needs, skills, and personality type. At the same time, I incorporate various high-quality materials and different teaching styles to reflect the daily teaching regime.

Parents of students and adult clients appreciate my patience and kindness, but more importantly, the challenging yet true-to-life class content. Also, my detailed, constructive and upbeat homework feedback has always been well received. This helps each student to consistently improve and feel constantly inspired.

Students love my sense of humor, my creativity and have a lot of fun during class and one-on-one tutoring sessions. Being able to identify with contemporary and inspiring class material results in the children being animated, participating and completing their homework in a well thought out and enthusiastic approach.

Being a kid at heart myself, I always allow my student's personality to shine and creativity to run free. They can express themselves and their thoughts, opinions and ideas during class. Divergent thinking and questioning content is strongly encouraged. But while giving students the liberty to assert themselves, I always make sure they are staying on track to learn important academic content and are able to turn learned theory into practice. I believe that content should not only be taught in a way that benefits students in school, but also later in life.

Through attentive observation during class and by grading homework, I am able to invariably form a comprehensive picture of each learner. I find it to be of particular importance to support them with their skills and with their self-confidence, so that they can learn to believe in their abilities and in who they are and who they're becoming.

Being a writer, words and how they're used are of a deep interest to me and driven by passion. I love to bring the English and German language and culture, with all of its beautiful historical traits and facets closer to students. Every little success and advancement from my students brings me much excitement, joy and happiness. It motivates me to constantly build and develop myself further to support all of my students in their own unique ways.

I primarily provide online lessons. In-person sessions can be arranged for clients who prefer to book multiple consecutive lessons in one day, or for group classes.
