No special language or teching education, but ECE certificate (French equivalent) and great love of art of speach
Used to teach adult groups from beguinners to intermediate level; tutor kids. Do a lot of translation (from English and French) - written and oral, including simultaneous. Worked as a production editor for Russian/English magazine

I thoroughly enjoyed my weekly tutorials with Vera. She is friendly, personable and and delightful in the manner in which she enlivens and makes enjoyable the lessons. Otherwise, the tutorials are well structured; and her insistence that I do the "homework" were beneficial. Once there is a return to some semblance of "stability" I intend to resume study of the Russian language with Vera.
I highly recommend Vera for people who want to know a little bit about grammar and rules, but really want to conversational practice. After 3 years with Vera, and time spent with many other tutors, I am proud to say she's the best teacher I've had. In the beginning it's important to know grammar but REAL conversations in REAL time is the best and quickest way to become fluent. Vera has exposed me to Russian shows, music, books and continues to meet up with me to refresh and improve my spoken Russian. From Vera you can expect a ratio of 70 : 30 percent, in regards to conversational spoken Russian : Grammar, rules, etc. Уже прошло три года, и я могу с уверенностью сказать что из-за нее, у меня отличный русский ;)
Vera is extremely considerate and an effective teacher. She is very accommodating in terms of time and she thinks outside the box when getting her students to learn a new concept.
