I am a Korean native speaker with MEd in Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language in 2009 as well as a bachelor's degree in English Linguistic and Literature in South Korea. I have been teaching Korean at the language center in my university since 2007. In 2011, I came to Canada and studied at college for two years. I have been tutoring Korean in Toronto since 2013 and used to work at NPO in Toronto.
Currently, I obtain my second master degree in Interdisciplinary Studies at York University. My thesis topic is related to Korean history, politics and women's studies.
In Korea, I studied TKFL (Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language). I also have taught Korean language and culture to international students at a language centre in my university as well as tutored English teachers for three years. In addition, I got involved in developing materials for international students and English teachers. Before I started working as a Korean teacher, I taught and tutored English and Korean to many students at different levels more than 10 years. In Canada, I have been tutoring Korean to many students since 2013. Also, I have been equipped with facilitation skills for diverse ethnic groups and victims of domestic or sexual violence.

At this moment, I have classes every evening so I am available in the morning and early evening. However, my schedule is quite flexible so I can adapt students easily.
At this time, ONLY online lessons (Zoom, FaceTime, Skype, WhatsApp, KakaoTalk) are available.
Mostly I book a study room at the Toronto Reference Library. If it is full, I meet my students at a independent café nearby. Also, if students are parents with a child, I can make a house call charging transportation fees. Skype lessons are available.
