Professional Experience
I worked after PhD for the Canadian Health and Welfare, Ottawa (4 years),, then (1985-2015) at the newly founded Atlantic Veterinary College, University of PEI. 1992-1995, I took a term (3 year) appointmrnt at the University of Botswana.
Teaching Approach
I like to work with the use of BBC pocasts. The students can choose podcasts of their interest, and ss a home asignment they listen and repeat the podcasts. In the meeting (can be online), podcasts are discussed, and new vocabularly and grammar are explained. Since retirement in 2015, tutoring English as a second language to health science professionals is my preferred way to volunteer my time on behalf of immigrants.
