I am from Bolivia and speak Spanish as a first language. I spent my entire life, from kindergarten to senior year, in a French school where everything was taught in French. I spent six months in France on an exchange, assisting the Spanish teacher at a French school. I enjoy learning new languages and consider myself to be proficient in them. I'm currently learning Italian at university, and I'm having a blast! I have experience teaching French and Spanish, primarily to children and any who are just beginning to learn the language. I am an energetic, self-motivated, and team-oriented individual who looks forward to new challenges. I'm skilled at communicating with people of all ages. Being able to communicate in multiple languages has given me a unique and diverse perspective that I seek to use in various professional environments.
Student at the University of British Columbia. Sociology major and Early Childhood Education as a minor.
My teaching experiences, specifically with children, have been primarily with French and Spanish. I taught two Bolivian girls French in preparation for their entrance exam to a French school. Additionally, during my exchange in France in 2016, I assisted the Spanish teacher.
I attempt to ensure that the student has fun while learning the language, using music, movies, games, and enjoyable readings to help the student acquire the language more quickly.
I am flexible and can easily adapt to student's schedules. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Friday are perfect for me, also sometimes weekends.
