Native English speaker (BA, MES) with over twelve years experience as an English tutor for all levels. Learners include junior & high school for Reading & Writing, test preparation, as well as professionals in areas of business and government I'm fluent in Portuguese and Spanish and have taught English in Japan, and lived over a decade in Latin America. I specialize in developing curriculum for individual learners and groups, specific to target needs and levels with a focus on speaking, reading and writing. My area of specialty is also Reading & Writing Courses for junior and high schools K5-12 with emphasis on novel study, writing for critical thinking, and mastering essay styles.
My education has taught me to be well informed of global issues and apply new and insightful topics for learners interested in international ways of thinking and analyzing events of the day.
I have an Honors, Bachelors and a Masters degree from Canadian universities. I also have ESL training and offer IELTS, SAT and TOEFL classes with extensive experience in curriculum development. With over five years experience in test preparation for national level evaluations, I have extensive knowledge for teaching grammar.
I have worked for over twelve years as a tutor to a variety of global learners. I am currently living in Vancouver and most classes are online wirh some exceptions.
