Hello, my name is William and I am a Canadian/British Native English Speaker. I am TEFL-UK Qualified with 11 years Practical Classroom Experience teaching IELTS General & Academic, Cambridge CAE & CPE as well as ViP/Ex patriot children IGCSE courses. I also teach general CEFR English to adults. I have teaching experience in Ukraine, Russia, Cyprus and UK. I also have 5 years experience teaching GCSE History Key Stage 3 in UK. I can teach you all the rules of English Language, prepare you for examinations and teach Business English. I specialize in teaching Slavic students and I have a working knowledge of Russian Language and Ukrainian Language. I speak with a clear Oxford English Accent. I have been preparing students for Canadian Benchmark examinations.
I have an HND in Arts Administration, 120hr TEFL UK, 20hr Practical Classroom Certification.
11 years teaching ESL English at Private English Language Schools in Russian Federation, as well as Private Language schools and State schools in Ukraine & Cyprus. I have taught 6 month Grammar Courses to Grammarly, Many IT companies in Ukraine & Poland, Business Professionals including Glaxo Smith Kline, Monsanto, JTL, Imperial American Tobacco and ViP's in Government preparing for Trade missions and Celebrities. I have experience teaching Key stage 3 history to Private schools & Grammar schools as well as State schools in UK - Nationwide.
I specialise in teaching Slavic Students for immigration around the world with IELTS General/Academic exams as well as Exam prep for Cambridge CAE 1 & CPE 2 certification.
I also offer CEFR A2-C1 General English Courses for Adults.
I offer individual Private students & Corporate Groups up to a maximum of 6 students free 1-to-1 Test classes. Before such classes I ask potential students to complete an English Language test and return it to me. During the test classes, I listen to the student. I ask them a series of grammar based questions and some general questions about their lives, their work. I elicit from them the reasons why they want to have lessons, their aims and objectives. I demonstrate the book led course together with examples of Grammar based lesson material, Listening material, Comprehension Material and Speaking Topics. During the hour, I make notes which enable me to create a tailor made lesson plan. I test students weekly and give them continuous feedback. I offer both 20 week courses in General English, IELTS Academic & General, as well as CAE, IGCSE & Canadian Benchmark exam preparation.
To students in North America & Canada, I am available Tuesday through Friday 2pm -7pm Calgary's Mountain Daylight time. Students in Europe, & Eastern Europe I am available (Kyiv time) Tuesdays 16.00-21.00hrs, Wednesdays 16.00-21.00 hrs Fridays 16.00-21.00hrs If you have any questions about specific times, please contact me.
Students outside Calgary Alberta, I teach online only. I use the Zoom Platform. I pay for the package. Students will need at least 30mbps internet speed. Students can have their lessons online from their homes or offices.
