Italian native speaker with several years of tutoring experience with adults and young adults.
I possess a Ba in linguistics and literature, a CELTA certificate for English language teaching and a certificate of participation in Italian language teaching focused on progressive methodology.
I have had many private students of Italian in the past 5 years, I also taught small groups in a school of English. I worked with two translators of the European Parliament.
I prioritize guided conversation, I focus on the student and I understand the areas of improvement to design the next lesson. I do use a text book, but I also create my own material tailored to the individual student's needs. I use also audio and video material. Grammar, fluency and pronunciation are to be developed simultaneously. I also insert elements of Italian culture in the lessons, especially during guided conversations.
I am flexible and available 7 days a week.
I teach in quiet public spaces, at my place and at the student's home / workplace if within Zone 1 transit Vancouver.
