Native Mandarin speaker with over 3 years experience of Mandarin tutoring/teaching.
Master of Engineering Degree from UBC, Vanciuver. Gained first Mandarin teaching experience to non-chinese speaker at that time.
When I studied in UBC, I gained my first Mandarin tutoring experience while helping a student from Switzland.
From late 2019, I started teaching Mandarin as leisure and become more passionate about it especially see student make quick progress from beginner to past Hsk 5 in just 2 years.
It depends on the student age, level, and their motivation. For small kids pushed by their parents to study Chinese, triggering and maintain their interst in learning Chinese is the most important thing for success of both students and teacher, this cann be achived by situational teaching along with colorful cards, photos, games etc. For adult with their own clear motivation, teaching should be based on their level and needs, i like to catergarizing words, put easy confused words together in one sentence or short paragraph, so student can get the difference easily.
Week days after 6:30pm, weekend from 9am to 8pm.
