Native Mandarin speaker from China, currently studying Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Toronto. Fluent in English and passionate about helping students learn authentic Chinese for daily communication, travel, or academic purposes.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Toronto (St. George campus). Have taken university-level courses in linguistics and communication. Strong academic background and cross-cultural communication skills developed through bilingual study and teaching practice.
Have tutored Mandarin to international students and friends interested in Chinese language and culture. Experienced in designing interactive lessons focusing on pronunciation, vocabulary, and conversational fluency. Also familiar with helping English-speaking beginners build confidence in speaking Chinese through games and real-life scenarios.
My teaching style is interactive, flexible, and student-centered. I focus on helping each student build confidence in real-life Mandarin communication through conversation, pronunciation practice, and cultural context. Depending on your goals, I can customize lessons for daily conversation, travel, HSK preparation, or academic Mandarin. I often use visuals, role-playing, and short videos to make learning fun and practical. Classes are conducted in English or Chinese (depending on your level), and I always encourage active participation and feedback.
Flexible schedule available on Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 9 AM – 12 AM (Toronto time), with additional times negotiable.
I offer online lessons (CAD 30/hour) for students anywhere. In-person lessons are also available within downtown Toronto or nearby areas, with additional travel fees depending on distance. Flexible scheduling and lesson formats can be arranged based on students’ needs.
