Elite training and high standards: neither improvisation nor low standards are part of my life. Phrases such as "just get by", "do the bare minimum", "dumb it down to be accepted by the masses", "learning is magic and everybody can do it, no effort required", "speaking properly is haughty and snob" are a guaranteed recipe for Mediocrity.
+ University of Milan - Sociology
+ University of Pavia - Applied Linguistics (MA)
+ University of Konstanz - Semantics
+ Since 2000, I have been teaching German (UQÀM, Polytechnique de Montréal and Ashbury College as well as private courses), and French (teacher and pedagogical advisor for schools with special attention to the government's language exams).
+ More than 20 years' experience in Language Training: French (French PFL2 for adults and preparation for the three exams, that is, comprehension, grammar and oral) with a very Empathetic Cultural Communicative Approach ("learning by understanding" and "crawl-out-of-your-comfort-zone" approach)
+ 10 years' experience in Group Management
+ Attention to detail and result is a well-done job
I have taught Latin for 5 years at a high school in Rome.
Fluent in the three aforementioned languages.
Communicative Approach, where the simple, efficient and clear use of the language (execution) becomes more important than the sole knowledge of its grammar (competence).
No direct translation is involved since it's about learning, not translating from a language into another.
Practice makes permanent, not perfect.
*Remember*
Life is the result of your own standards: low standards, low life; high standards, high life
Extremely flexible.
Attention: lessons via Skype all over the world (German, French, Latin).
