Mandarin Chinese native speaker with a PRC teaching certificate and graduated with a MSc degree from UK. I design my class to be interactive and fun. With my near-native English proficiency, I’m able to use vivid examples to explain concepts and culture to facilitate your language acquisition.
I was born in southern China and went to a university near Beijing. So, my accent is quite neutral. In fact, I was hired to do voiceover projects in UK both in Mandarin and English.
I worked as a teacher in international schools in China for 4 years and I’m currently working towards my BC Teaching Certificate at UBC. I also worked as a licensed English tour guide so I look forward to guiding you in your language learning journey.

I like to use a textbook so we have something to start with. You can buy the textbook yourself or potentially find a free digital copy online. Our learning will be structured and systematic especially if you are a beginner. Advanced learners will receive tailored topics each time and focus on enriching their vocabulary and spoken language.
