Japanese native speaker, who has been living in Vancouver for 5 years. Bachelor's degree in History and currently in UBC BEd 11-month Teacher Education program and have experience teaching youth. Currently at UBC BEd 11-month Teacher Education program teaching Social Studies. Bachelor's degree in History at UBC. Graduated from IB school.
Have teaching experience with youth for 4 years including, kindergarten teaching assistant (volunteer), IB Japanese tutor, G4 English tutor, teaching Law 12, Physical Geography 12, and Socials 9 as Teacher Candidate.
For beginners, I would start with speaking to let client stay passionate about learning Japanese. That being said, I would make the lesson as enjoyable as possible by teaching some useful vocabularies or phrases and fascinating Japanese culture. As the client get used to Japanese, I would then do the reading and writing, which is more confusing part.
However, I would be flexible depending on the client's ability and preference.
For now, only weekends. Saturday or Sunday, from 9 to 16.
Online tutoring through zoom is the most preferable.
