I usually start the class with a short engaging warm-up exercise, allocate 5-10 minutes to review homework assignments, then move on to our topic of the day. Depending on the topic, I use multiple teaching materials such as articles, videos, short clips, audio clips, photos, etc... Additionally, review activities such as charades, boardgames, bombs, jeopardy, etc. to keep students on their toes and create a fun learning class. I would leave 5-10 minutes by the end of the lesson to review our topic and brief homework assignment.
