Hello, My name is Sarrah, and I am a bilingual professional based in Montreal. I am a native French speaker, originally from a French-speaking background, and I also lived in France, which allowed me to further refine my language skills and cultural understanding. I pursued higher education in law in both of Canada’s official languages, giving me a strong command of both formal and conversational French. I would be happy to help students improve their French whether for academic, professional, or everyday use in a structured yet approachable way.

Education / Certificates

Bachelor of Law, France (2014) Juris Doctor (2017) Licensed Lawyer (2018)

Professional Experience

I have several years of experience in teaching and mentoring students from diverse backgrounds. I worked as a French tutor with Fast Forward French, in Ottawa (Kanata) over several months across a two-year period, where I supported students in improving their language skills through structured and personalized guidance. In addition, I served as a teaching assistant in law school for courses in negotiation as well as public and constitutional law, which strengthened my ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have also led workshops and mentored students, developing a teaching approach that is both structured, engaging, and adaptable to each learner’s needs.

Teaching Approach

My teaching method is animated, dynamic, and highly interactive. I focus on creating an engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable practicing and making progress. I use a mix of visual supports, real-life examples, and practical exercises to make concepts clear and memorable. I also adapt my approach to each student’s level, goals, and learning style, whether they prefer structured lessons, conversation-based practice, or targeted grammar work. My goal is to make learning French both effective and enjoyable, while building confidence in speaking and understanding the language.
