September 2022 – To Date Selkirk Montessori School, Victoria – Montessori Teacher (Full-Time) • Responsible for individualized observation, planning and progress of children in all academic areas, including those covered by speciality employees. • Responsible for the safety and well-being of the children at all times and terminating any potentially dangerous activity. • Responsible for the care and renewal of the learning environment, including maintaining the organization and variety of content. • Supervise the activities and routines of children’s lunch on a rotating basis.
September 2016 – December 2021 Ecole Montessori Casablanca, Morocco – Elementary Guide Duties: • Provision of a conducive and wholesome learning environment suitable for the development of the elementary-aged child through the presentation of lessons, group discussions, and liaison with colleagues to ensure that each child is learning holistically and working at their maximum potential. • Development of a wholesome curriculum that meets national and state requirements to ensure that learning aligns with the educational curriculum/state policy while maintaining the holistic learning well-being of children as relevant to cosmic education. • Advocate and support the holistic well-being of the children with a particular emphasis on social and emotional well-being through different activities such as music, art, mindfulness, and individual conferences where we highlight their strengths and ways to extend them into the various areas of their learning and development. • Collaborate with the children through coaching to evaluate their progress and hold regular conferences with their parents and other relevant personnel to discuss their progress and encourage home-school connections. • Planning and supporting parent education events that increase parents’ knowledge on Cosmic Education and the Elementary child. • Lead, observe and support a team of adults in their Montessori teacher training who share the same vision of guiding elementary children to their fullest potential.
August 2013 - June 2016 Ecole Montessori Casablanca, Morocco – Casa dei Bambini Guide Duties: • Planning and preparation of a conducive and wholesome learning environment suitable for the development of the primary-aged child. • Responsible for linking each child to the environment through lessons based on observations, stage of development and interests. • Evaluating progress and planning next steps for each child, encouraging collaborative planning with the children and leasing with caregivers to support development at home and transitions in both settings.
I usually teach using the Montessori teaching method, but I'm adaptable. I teach children between the ages of 6 to 12 years.
Tuesdays to Thursdays between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. Saturdays between 8:00 and 11:00 a.m.
