Hi, I’m a Korean tutor who creates a fun and relaxed learning environment where students feel comfortable speaking from day one. I enjoy guiding beginners step by step and helping them build confidence naturally without pressure. I can also adapt lessons to any topic you’re interested in, so conversations always feel engaging and personal. In addition to teaching Korean, I currently work as a journalist and Korean language instructor, which helps me explain language in a clear and practical way. My goal is to make learning Korean enjoyable, easy to follow, and something you actually look forward to.
I hold a Master’s degree in Journalism from Sogang University. I also have a TLC (Teenager Learning Coaching) certification, which I use to coach and guide students effectively.
I have taught Korean language (advanced level for school exams) and English (beginner to intermediate level) to elementary and middle school students in Korea. I also completed a journalism academy program in Seoul, where I received training in copy editing and professional speaking. In addition, I studied Journalism at Sogang University, one of the top five universities in Korea, where I developed strong skills in logical writing and communication.
My teaching approach is highly student-centered and flexible, focusing on making lessons both practical and enjoyable. I use a conversational method that encourages students to speak naturally from the beginning, even at a basic level.
For beginners, I build confidence step by step with simple structures and guided practice, while gradually increasing complexity. For more advanced learners, I focus on refining expression, improving clarity, and developing more natural, real-life communication skills.
I also adapt each lesson to the student’s interests and goals, so learning always feels relevant, engaging, and easy to stay motivated in.
I am flexible and can adjust to the student’s schedule. Weekdays: 3pm–12pm (available) Weekends: 10am–12pm (available) I can also discuss and adapt specific time slots depending on student needs.
I offer online lessons via Zoom or Skype. I am also open to in-person lessons depending on location and schedule, preferably in public spaces such as libraries or cafe.
