I am a native Mandarin speaker and have the Mandarin Proficiency Test certificate in first class and level 2, which is the highest level for the people whose major is not broadcasting and hosting. Before came to Canada, I have almost four years experience as a teacher/tutor during my undergraduate study time. Since 2013, I started to tutor non-mandarin speakers in Montreal. I recently moved to Edmonton.

Mandarin is the the daily language I communicate with my family and friends. When I was in China, I taught Chinese and Chinese writing for Grade 1 and 6 students. After came to Canada, I was a tutor for non-Mandarin speaking students. Now I am the mandarin tutor for two students. One is beginner and the other one is intermediate level.
Confidence, practice and authentic language situation are three essential elements for language learning. The active learning based on text book is the best way for students. I am good at explaining the radical meaning of individual character so that students can better understand how to connect individual characters into phrases and sentences.
I would prefer to teach online or meet in a coffee shop at the West End of the city. (Lewis Estates)
